About Steve Barszcz Esq.

Sorry, this user has not created a bio yet.

A claim for an increased schedule award is not subject to time

limitations. If you have previously received payment for a schedule

award there is no time limit for you to for a supplemental schedule

award claimant and increased impairment and entitlement to an

increased payment for a schedule award.

In one case, the claimant was denied a schedule award in

September, 2008 and he requested reconsideration in

December, 2009. The OWCP denied appellant’s request because

it was untimely and failed to establish clear evidence of an error

in regard to the original denial.

The ECAB determined that the claimant’s request should be

considered as a claim for an increased schedule award rather than

an appeal of the previous denial since they request for an increased

schedule award was not subject to time limitations.

If you have been denied a schedule award or if you have greater

impairment at this time, you may be entitled at greater

impairment and more money. We will be happy to answer any

questions regarding a denial of your schedule award or a possible

increase in your impairment rating which will entitle you to

additional payment for a supplemental schedule award.
